Make this easy and savory wonton soup using frozen wontons in just five minutes!

Ingredients

  • 10 frozen mini wontons
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce or Tamari
  • ¼ cup finely sliced onions
  • 2 tbsp diced green onions
  • Baby bok choy (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring two cups of low-sodium chicken broth to a boil in a saucepan or medium pot.
  2. Add 1 tbsp of Gochujang chili paste and stir until completely incorporated into the broth.
  3. While the sauce boils, finely slice 1/4 cup white onion.
  4. Once the broth is boiling, gently add 10 frozen mini wontons to the pan or pot.
  5. Add white onion slices to the broth.
  6. Let cook for two minutes and remove the pan or pot from heat.
  7. Add 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce or Tamari and gently stir.
  8. Let wonton soup sit uncovered for a minute or two while you dice the green onions.
  9. Using a ladle or slotted spoon, add the wontons to a shallow bowl. Ladle the broth over the wontons.
  10. Garnish with diced green onions and serve.

Notes

For a less spicy broth, reduce the Gochujang paste by half.
